نمونه‌پژوهی کورالاین

چکیده

با ظهور فناوری‌های جدید در قرن بیستم، اقتباس ابعاد تازه‌ای پیدا کرد. یکی از این ابعاد تازه، اقتباس بازی ویدئویی از کتاب است. با وجود اینکه عمل اقتباس بازی ویدئویی از کتاب دست‌کم به بیش از چهار دهه پیش بازمی‌گردد، اکثر پژوهش‌های این حوزه رویکردی نظری دارند و پژوهش‌های داده‌محور و نظام‌مند اندکی با این موضوع انجام شده است. این خلأ پژوهشی زمانی بیشتر به چشم می‌آید که اهمیت اقتصادی و فرهنگی بازی‌های ویدئویی را نیز مد نظر قرار دهیم. در این راستا، پژوهش حاضر ترجمۀ فضاسازی کتاب کورالاین به بازی ویدئویی آن را با رویکرد ترجمۀ چندوجهی بررسی می‌کند. جمع‌آوری و تحلیل داده‌ها بر اساس مدل نیکولایوا و اسکات (۲۰۰۶) صورت گرفت. در ابتدا، مؤلفه‌های فضاسازی به دو بخش مکان‌ها و چیزها تقسیم شد. پس از آن، متن و تصاویر کتاب و ویدئوی کامل بازی بررسی شد تا نمونه‌های این مؤلفه‌ها شناسایی شود. سپس، مؤلفه‌های فضاسازی کتاب و بازی با یکدیگر مقایسه شد تا میزان انطباق این مؤلفه‌ها در کتاب و ویدئوی بازی مشخص گردد. نتایج نشان داد که ۴۲% از مؤلفه‌های فضاسازی کتاب در بازی ترجمه شده‌اند و انطباق میان فضاسازی‌ در کتاب و بازی محدود بوده است. با تحلیل این یافته‌ها از منظر بازی‌های اقتباسی، به نظر می‌رسد که سازندگان بازی، برخلاف نویسنده و تصویرگر کتاب، به­ دلیل محدودیت‌های احتمالی زمانی و مالی، مؤلفه‌های تکراری متعددی در آثار خود گنجانده‌اند. همچنین، از منظر ترجمۀ چندوجهی، فضاسازی کتاب به ­صورت کامل در بازی بازآفرینی نشده است و بیشتر به منزلۀ منبع الهام فضاسازی در بازی عمل کرده است.
